Keep your hands CLEAN!

Jao Hand Refresher

As a Makeup artist, one the most important things I need to focus on is sanitation. My hands must be clean and odor-free at all times. I spend a lot of time touching my client's face and it really makes them comfortable if they know your hands are clean.

Jao Hand Refresher, I suppose is the best hand sanitizer there is in the market today. It is a must-have in your kit. Professional MUA's for TV/Film, Fashion, Weddings et al swear by this product. It does not leave any sticky residue like most sanitizers do. Not only it disinfects, it leave you relaxed and smelling incredible with its aromatherapy scent.

Go get yours now! :)

Makeup for Mature Skin

(Photo from Google Images)

Young skin is very much different from mature skin. The skin show wrinkles and lines. Mature skin is dry and looser. When doing makeup, what you want to do is to bring the youthfulness back to the skin. It should be hydrated and fresh looking. The makeup should look thin and light. You do not want to cake your foundation as it would make the lines and wrinkles more visible.

Products I recommend  to my clients:

SKINCARE
For those of you who know me, I spend a lot of time prepping the skin whenever I do makeup on my clients.

Cleanser:
Always cleanse the face before applying anything on it. It get rids of the clogged pores and removes dirt and small pigments of makeup that were left on the skin.
Moisturizer:
When using a toner on a mature skin, make sure you are using a hydrating toner and NOT an alcohol based toner as it will make the skin more dry. REMEMBER: You want to hydrate the skin :)
I personally apply it using: clean fingers or beauty blender  or a really good foundation brush.
Use only if necessary.
As much as possible use a loose powder as it makes a semi dewy finish. Preferably on the T zone only.
Eyeshadow:
Avoid using eyeshadows that are shimmery or glittery. It would make the lines very visible. Use matte eyeshadows only.

Cheeks:
Lipsticks:
Do not use Baby Pink.
